A new look but we’re the same
Posted 11 Sep 2024
Over the next few months, you’ll notice our website and our communications will start to show our new logo and brand identity, an important change and milestone for DSA. Here’s why.
Why we’ve changed our look
The most important thing to say is that we – as in the team and the great service we provide – is all still the same. But for a while we felt that our logo and style of communication had become dated and didn’t reflect our expertise, our leading position in the market, or our future ambitions. We want to stand out for all the right reasons – and now we do.
A bit about the new design
The new logo is a clear modern take on the old, an evolution from the ancient roman structure to a more modern and iconic building shape. Housing ‘DSA’, the roof line represents our structural engineering services, and the underlining foundation reflects our civil engineering, ground services. Keeping a similar green colour, but now partnered with a deep blue, presents a professional and calm impression.
What DSA stands for
The literal answer is David Smith Associates but having been known and referred to as DSA for years, it seemed an obvious change to make.
The more meaningful answer to what we stand for is our new brand story:
We engineer for a better world, connecting people with their environments so that they can thrive.
This one sentence sums up how we are passionate about doing the right thing by people and making the way we live better. This comes together in our tag line – Engineering for life.
What do you think?
We hope you love our new look as much as we do – please get in touch and tell us what you think as we’d value your feedback, or if you want to see more about the brand design process we worked through.
